We remove the cardan shafts of the car for replacement or for repair, as well as when removing the transfer case
We install the car on a viewing ditch or lift
To remove the rear driveshaft, hang out the rear wheel and turn off the front wheel drive
We turn on the neutral gear in the gearbox or transfer case
We make marks with a chisel of the position of the forks and flanges of the transfer case and rear axle
We unscrew the four bolts with a curved ring wrench for 14 fastening the cardan shaft to the transfer case
We hold the fork of the hinge from turning with a suitable rod (you can also apply the parking brake)
Using keys 14 and 17, unscrew the four nuts securing the driveshaft to the rear axle
Remove the rear driveshaft
To remove the front driveshaft, mark with a chisel the relative position of the shaft relative to the flanges of the transfer case and the front axle
Using keys 17 and 14, unscrew the four nuts securing the rear shaft joint to the transfer case flange
In the same way, we disconnect the front joint of the driveshaft from the front axle
Remove the front driveshaft
Install the driveline in the reverse order, aligning the marks made and applying sealant to the threads of the bolts
