The cable and the throttle pedal are replaced in case of breakage or for repair

We show by the example of a car equipped with a K4M engine.

On a car with an F4R engine, the pedal lever is different in design, but the operations are performed similarly.

To do the job, you need tools: a 13-inch wrench, a special plastic mounting blade or a flat-bladed screwdriver.

In the cabin, under the instrument panel, we attach the pressure washer for fixing the noise insulation coating with a plastic mounting blade

Remove the tip of the cable from the groove of the pedal lever and disconnect the cable

On a car with an F4R engine, we squeeze the clamps of the wiring harness pads and disconnect the wire pads from the pedal position sensor

Unscrew the nuts of the pedal bracket attachment to the front panel and remove the pedal

Install the pedal in reverse order.

Adjustment and replacement of the K4M engine gas cable

If the throttle valve on the K4M engine does not fully open or does not fully close, it is necessary to adjust the cable of its drive.

Easily press your finger on the section "A" from the bracket "B" of the cable sheath attachment to the lever "B" of the damper axis drive.

With proper adjustment, the deflection of the cable should not exceed 3-5 mm.

When the drive pedal is released, the throttle valve must be closed, and when the pedal is pressed all the way down, it must be fully open (at the same time, the lever of the damper drive must not have an additional stroke).

To adjust, remove the spring bracket from the tip of the cable sheath.

We slide or extend the tip from the bracket on the head cover to the desired length.

After that, we fix the position of the tip by inserting the spring bracket into the corresponding groove on the tip.

If it is impossible to achieve full opening or closing of the throttle valve by adjusting the throttle actuator, or the actuator jams, replace the cable.

Detach the cable tip from the lever

We release the cable by removing the tip of its shell from the bracket on the head cover
