The throttle cable and pedal are replaceable in case of breakage or for repair

We show on the example of a car equipped with a K4M engine.

On a car with an F4R engine, the pedal lever is different in design, but the operations are similar.

To do the job, you need tools: a 13 wrench, a special plastic mounting spatula or a flat-blade screwdriver.

Adjusting and replacing the throttle cable of the K4M engine

If the throttle valve on the K4M engine does not open or close completely, you need to adjust the throttle cable.

Lightly press with your finger in section "A" from the bracket "B" of the cable sheath to the lever "B" of the damper axis drive.

With proper adjustment, the deflection of the cable should not exceed 3-5 mm.

When the drive pedal is released, the throttle should be closed, and when the pedal is pressed all the way, it should be fully open (in this case, the damper drive lever should not have additional travel).

To adjust, remove the spring clip from the tip of the cable sheath.

Slide the tip in or out to the desired length from the bracket on the head cover.

After that, we fix the position of the tip by inserting the spring clip into the corresponding groove on the tip.

If it is impossible to achieve full opening or closing of the throttle valve by adjusting the throttle actuator, or the actuator sticks, replace the cable.
