Replacement of the elements of the windows of the Mazda 6 car

We remove the power window elements for replacement, as well as when repairing car doors

Removing and installing the power window switch box

We prepare the car and disconnect the negative battery terminal

Using a screwdriver, pry off the housing of the control unit for power windows and exterior mirrors

Remove the control unit from the hole in the armrest

Remove the control unit from the armrest of the door upholstery

Press the latch and disconnect the wire block from the power window control unit

We also disconnect the wiring block from the exterior mirror control unit and remove the unit

To replace switches on passenger doors

Disconnect the negative battery cable

Using a screwdriver, pry off the lining of the power window control unit of the passenger door and lift the unit up

Press the latch and disconnect the wire block from the switch connector

Remove the passenger door power window control unit

Removing power window gearmotors

Disconnect the negative battery terminal

Remove the front door upholstery

We press the lock of the wire block and disconnect the block from the front door power window gearmotor

We unscrew the three bolts securing the power window motor gear to the door mounting panel

The location of the gearmotor mounting bolts is shown by arrows in the photo

Removing the gearmotor

If you need to replace the gear motor, unscrew the three fastening screws and remove the motor from the gear

Before installation, apply grease to the gear motor gear

Install the gearmotor and all parts in the reverse order

Removing the gearmotor of the power window drive of the rear door

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery

Remove the upholstery of the rear door

Press the lock of the wire block and disconnect the block from the electric drive gearmotor

We unscrew the three bolts securing the power window motor gear to the door mounting panel and remove the gear motor

The location of the mounting bolts is shown by arrows

If you need to replace the gear motor, unscrew the three fastening screws and remove the motor from the gear

Before installation, apply grease to the gear motor gear

Install the gearmotor and all parts in the reverse order
