Remove handles and door locks for replacement or repair
Removing the outside handle and lock switch
Raise the glass to the upper position and remove the door upholstery and the inner handle of the lock drive, as described in previous articles
Remove the front door mounting panel
Use a screwdriver to pry and remove two plugs from the holes of the inner door panel
Unscrew the fastening screw and remove the bracket from the door panel
We press the lock and disconnect the rod from the handle lever on the holder (shown on the removed handle holder)
We unscrew the screw securing the holder of the outer handle of the switch and remove the holder from the door panel
Use a screwdriver to pry off and remove the rubber plugs at the end of the door
Bending the holder latch (shown on the removed lock switch)
And disconnect the rod from the lever of the front door lock switch through the technological hole in the end of the front door
We unscrew the screw securing the front door switch through the technological hole in the end of the front door
And remove the switch by pulling it towards you
Move the outer handle back and remove the handle, disengaging it
If the gaskets of the switch and the outer handle have lost their elasticity, then we replace them
Install the outer handle and the lock switch in reverse order
Replacing the inner handle of the front door lock
Remove the front door trim
On the reverse side of the inner handle, remove the cable end holder from the bracket and remove the end of the door lock cable from the groove of the lock lever
We also remove the tip of the lock drive cable from the groove of the inner handle lever and remove the front door lock handle
Location of the cables of the front door lock drive and the front door lock drive on the reverse side of the inner handle
Install the inner handle of the front door lock drive and all the removed parts in reverse order
Removing the front door lock
Raise the glass to its highest position, remove the door upholstery and the inner handle of the front door lock
Remove the front door mounting panel
Disconnect the rod ends from the lever of the inner handle on the handle holder and from the switch lever
Press the latch and disconnect from the lock the block of wires of the electric door lock
We take the cables out of the holders on the door panel
We unscrew the three screws securing the lock to the rear end of the door and remove the lock by pulling it out through the opening in the inner panel of the door
Pay attention to the marking of the lock in order to purchase exactly the same lock
Install pour in the front door lock and all the details in reverse order
To remove the latch of the front door lock, unscrew the two screws securing it to the body pillar and remove the latch
If necessary, adjust the clarity of locking by moving the latch in the vertical and horizontal directions
