Exhaust gases exit the engine through the exhaust manifold, downpipe, catalytic converter, resonator and main mufflers
A control oxygen concentration sensor is installed on the exhaust pipe near the catalytic converter
A diagnostic oxygen sensor is installed on the converter
A sealing metal-reinforced gasket is installed between the cylinder head and the exhaust manifold flange
The downpipe assembly with catalytic converter and resonator is connected at one end to the exhaust manifold flange, and at the other end to the flange of the connecting pipe
Flange connections between the main mufflers and the connecting pipe are sealed with gaskets made of pressed heat-resistant material
Each of the elements of the exhaust system can be removed separately without dismantling the remaining elements
System elements are suspended from the body on six rubber cushions
To protect the engine and the base of the body from heating by the elements of the system, a steel thermal screen is installed on the exhaust manifold
Thermal screens are also installed above other elements of the exhaust system
The exhaust system does not require special maintenance.
It is enough to periodically check the reliability of the tightening of the threaded connections and the integrity of the suspension pads
In case of damage, through corrosion or burnout, the system elements are replaced as an assembly, since the mufflers, together with pipes, are non-separable units.
Allow the exhaust system to cool before repairing, as the exhaust system will reach high temperatures when the engine is running.
Exhaust gases are poisonous, poisoning by them occurs imperceptibly, so be sure to open the gate before starting the engine in the garage!

If there is an increased noise level from the exhaust system, check its tightness. To do this, start the engine and inspect the entire system
Run your hand over potential leaks without touching the knots, and you will immediately feel the gas leak
If necessary, replace rusted and burnt nodes
