We remove the engine flywheel when repairing the engine, as well as when replacing the oil seal. We also remove the flywheel to replace the gear rim of the flywheel
Preparing the car for the task
Remove the gearbox
Remove the engine clutch
Unscrew the six flywheel mounting bolts with a 19 socket head.
We keep the flywheel from turning with a screwdriver or mounting spatula.
We mark the position of the flywheel with a marker to facilitate installation
Remove the flywheel
Checking the condition of the flywheel gear rim.
In case of severe damage to the teeth, we replace the rim.
We also check the condition of the contact surface of the driven disk to the flywheel
It is possible to grind the contact surface, the layer of metal to be removed should not exceed 0.3 mm
Install the flywheel and all parts and assemblies in reverse order.
Tighten the flywheel bolts crosswise to a torque of 71.5-75.5 Nm.
