The fluid and filter in the power steering system must be replaced every 100,000 km or after two years of vehicle operation
We install the car on a lift or a viewing ditch
Remove the front engine mudguard
Unscrew the cap nut and remove the reservoir cap with gasket
Retrieve the mesh from the tank
Unscrew the nut with a 13 wrench, holding the clamp bolt with a 12 wrench
Remove the tank and drain the liquid from it into a container
Loosen the clamp with a screwdriver and remove the outlet hose from the tank pipe
We insert the plug (M8 bolt) into the hose, lower it under the car and, removing the plug, drain the remaining liquid into the container
In this case, you need to turn the steering wheel first to one extreme position, and then to another
We also disconnect the supply hose from the tank and remove the tank from the car
Press on the washer and pliers with narrow jaws, remove the cotter pin and remove the washer
Remove the spring and bypass valve with gasket
Remove the filter element and the sealing ring
Removing the spacer
Rinse the tank and other parts in gasoline
Use a thin needle to clean the air hole in the cap nut
Blow out the tank channels, nuts and blow the strainer with compressed air
We assemble and install the tank in reverse order, replacing the filter element
Fill in fresh oil to the level of the grid and pump the hydraulic steering system
Bleeding the hydraulic steering system
We bleed the steering hydraulic system to remove air from it that got there after changing the oil, filter, as well as after other work related to depressurization of the system
Signs of the presence of air: wedging of the steering wheel with a sharp change in the direction of its rotation, foam in the reservoir
Hang out the front wheels, add oil to the tank to the norm (to the grid level)
Turn the steering wheel 5–10 times to the extreme positions in both directions
When the steering wheel is in the middle position, we start the engine for 10-15 seconds, while not turning the steering wheel
Turn off the engine and add oil
We start the engine and, at idle, smoothly turn the steering wheel in turn in both directions until it stops, but without holding it in extreme positions
After the release of bubbles in the tank stops, stop the engine
Check the oil level in the tank and bring it to normal
