We remove the upholstery of the rear door for repair or replacement of elements of the rear door and its repair.
Tools required: TorxT20, T30 wrench, screwdrivers and knife.
Disconnect the negative terminal of the car battery
Using a flat screwdriver with a thin blade, pry the rear door power window switch and remove it from the hole in the armrest
Press the latches of the wire block, disconnect it from the power window switch
TorxT30 unscrew the screw securing the inner door handle
Remove it from the upholstery of the door
Remove the rod from the handle lever
Pry off the plug in the door armrest with a flat screwdriver with a thin blade
Using the Torx T20 key, unscrew the self-tapping screw securing the armrest to the bracket of the inner door panel
Using a slotted screwdriver with a thin blade, pry off the decorative lining of the door handle
Remove it
Using the Torx T30 key, unscrew the door handle fastening screw
Pry off the speaker cover with a flat-blade screwdriver
Flip the lid down
Using a Torx T20 key, unscrew the four screws securing the speaker to the door trim
We take it out of the hole in the upholstery
Press the lock and we connect the block of wires from the speaker
By pulling the edge of the upholstery, we separate it from the inner panel of the door, overcoming the resistance of nine caps and adhesive mastic applied from below and on the sides.
We bring out the block of wires of the power window switch through the hole in the door upholstery and remove the upholstery.
We replace damaged caps.
Install upholstery in reverse order.
