Duster
This section describes the design, maintenance, and repair of the Renault Duster.
The vehicle is equipped with a K4M gasoline engine and a K9K diesel engine.
The section covers the removal, installation, disassembly, and assembly of various vehicle components and mechanisms.
We remove the fuel tank for flushing or for replacement
We prepare the vehicle for the task. It is desirable that the tank be empty.
The cooling system is liquid-cooled, of the closed type, with forced circulation
We replace the thermostat in the event of a disturbance of the engine's thermal regime, when the engine either overheats (the thermostat valve has jammed in the closed position) or does not warm up sufficiently (the thermostat valve has stuck in the open position).
We remove the radiator for replacement or for access to other units
We replace the pump in the event of noise from its bearing or in the event of stiff rotation of the pump pulley, large radial play of the pump shaft
