A liquid-type heater is installed on the car
Heating is provided by air heated in the heater core.
Outside air enters the heater through a grill located between the windshield and the hood, changes direction and is separated from rainwater.
Then, the air from the air intake box through the filter of the air entering the cab enters the heater casing and, depending on the position of the mixing dampers, enters either through the heater radiator or air distributors into the air ducts to the nozzles on the instrument panel, blowing the windshield and supplying air to the lower part cabins.
The heating will only work effectively when the engine coolant temperature reaches 80˚ C.
The heater radiator is connected to the engine cooling system by four hoses running in the engine compartment:
- - hose connected to the heater tap;
- - also with a hose for draining fluid from the heater.
The radiator is placed in a plastic casing of the heater module, mounted on the front panel under the central part of the instrument panel.
Due to the design features of the diesel engine, during its long idling operation (especially in the cold season), the temperature of the coolant gradually drops below normal, which, among other things, reduces the efficiency of the heater.
To eliminate this shortcoming in the cavity of the front bumper, on the right side, an autonomous heater is installed, which simultaneously performs the function of a starting heater, running on diesel fuel, which is supplied to it from the fuel tank by a special dosing pump.
The dosing pump is installed on the inside of the vehicle frame and is connected to the fuel tank and the afterburner combustion chamber by special plastic fuel lines.
The preheater is turned on with the engine running and the heater turned on with a switch installed on the instrument panel, after which it, working in automatic mode, increases the temperature of the liquid passing through the heater radiator to 80 - 85˚ C.
It is recommended to turn on the heater when the outside air temperature is below 5˚ C.
In the preheater mode, the moment of starting and the duration of the heater operation are set on the timer located on the instrument panel.
Press button 3 to turn on the heater.
To turn on the autonomous heater in timer mode, press button 2.
To select the heater operation mode, use the mode selection button 4 and buttons 1.
Changing the cabin air filter
We replace the cabin filter after fifteen thousand kilometers of the car.
In dusty areas, change the filter more often.
It all depends on the operating conditions of the car.
Opening the hood.
We unscrew the four bolts securing the air intake duct
Removing the box
We unscrew the four bolts securing the filter casing and remove the casing
Remove the cassette with the filter element
Remove the filter element from the cassette
Installing a new filter element
Use a vacuum cleaner and a damp rag to remove dust from the air inlet and install all the parts in place.
