A liquid-type heater is installed on the car
Heating is provided by air heated in the heater radiator.
Outside air enters the heater through a grille located between the windshield and the bonnet, changes direction and is separated from the rainwater.
Then the air from the air intake box through the filter of the air entering the cab enters the heater casing and, depending on the position of the mixing flaps, flows either through the heater radiator or air distributors into the air ducts to the nozzles on the instrument panel, blowing the windshield and supplying air to the lower part of the cab.
Heating will only start to work effectively after the engine coolant temperature reaches 80˚C.
The heater radiator is connected to the engine cooling system by four hoses running in the engine compartment:
- a hose connected to the heater tap;
- also with a hose for draining fluid from the heater.
The radiator is placed in a plastic casing of the heater module installed on the bulkhead under the central part of the dashboard.
Due to the design features of the diesel engine, when it is idle for a long time (especially in the cold season), the coolant temperature gradually drops below normal, which, among other things, reduces the efficiency of the heater.
To eliminate this drawback, an autonomous preheater is installed on the right side in the cavity of the front bumper, which simultaneously performs the function of a preheater, running on diesel fuel, which is supplied to it from the fuel tank by a special metering pump.
The metering pump is installed on the inner side of the vehicle frame and is connected to the fuel tank and the preheater combustion chamber by special plastic fuel lines.
The pre-heater is turned on with the engine running and the heater turned on by the switch installed on the instrument panel, after which it, operating in automatic mode, increases the temperature of the liquid passing through the heater radiator to 80 - 85˚ C.
It is recommended to turn on the heater when the outdoor temperature is below 5˚C.
In the pre-heater mode, the starting moment and the duration of the heater's operation are set on the timer located on the instrument panel.
To turn on the heater, press button 3.
To turn on the autonomous heater in timer mode, press button 2.
To select the pre-heater operation mode, use the mode selection button 4 and buttons 1.
Replacing the filter of the incoming air to the cabin
We replace the cabin filter after fifteen thousand kilometers of the vehicle's mileage.
In dusty areas, replace the filter more frequently.
It all depends on the operating conditions of the car.
We open the hood.
Unscrew the four bolts securing the air duct
We remove the box
Unscrew the four bolts securing the filter casing and remove the casing
We remove the cartridge with the filter element
We remove the filter element from the cassette
Installing a new filter element
We remove dust from the air intake with a vacuum cleaner and a damp cloth and install all the parts in place.
