Crankshaft seals must be replaced if oil leaks through their lips.
When the front crankshaft oil seal leaks, the timing belt and the front of the engine are oily.
Oiling the clutch discs can be caused by oil leaking through the crankshaft rear oil seal or the gearbox input shaft oil seal.
Engine oil and transmission oil have a different smell. Therefore, it is possible to determine with accuracy which of the oil seals is leaking.
Before replacing the engine seals, you need to make sure that the crankcase ventilation system is clean and that the hoses of this system are not pinched.
Crankshaft oil seals are replaced for K7J, K7M, K4M engines in almost the same way.
