We prepare the car and drain the brake fluid, as indicated in previous articles
Remove the brake pads
Remove the brake hose, for this
We unscrew the brake pipe fitting from the hose tip with a 12 wrench
Unscrew the nut securing the hose to the bracket with a 24 wrench, holding the hose tip with a 17 wrench
A lock washer is installed under the nut
We unscrew the tip of the brake pipe with a 17 key, holding the brake cylinder adapter with the same key
A copper washer is installed between the tip and the tube
Reinstall the axles of the brake pads and tighten their nuts
We unscrew the adapter of the upper brake cylinder with a key 17
Remove the adapter and two copper washers installed on both sides of the tee
We release and take out the thrust pin of the upper brake shoe and remove the upper brake cylinder
We unscrew the brake pipe fitting from the tee of the lower cylinder with a key 12
Remove the brake pipe together with the tee of the upper cylinder
We unscrew the 17 bolt fitting of the lower cylinder with a wrench and remove it together with two copper washers
Release and remove the support pin the brake shoe and remove the lower brake cylinder
We install the lower brake cylinder together with the brake shoe into the hole in the brake shield and fix them with the stop pin of the shoe
We wrap a bolt-fitting with a tee and two new copper washers installed on both sides of the tee into the cylinder
We wrap the brake pipe fitting in the tee
Install the upper brake cylinder with the brake shoe and its thrust pin
We wrap the extension with a tee, a tube and new copper washers into the cylinder
Using the “6” key, we turn the brake pad fingers to such a position that the marks on the ends of the fingers are directed towards “their” tees
Tighten the nuts of the brake shoe support pins, preventing the fingers from turning
Tightening the bolt fitting of the lower cylinder, the adapter of the upper cylinder and the fitting of the brake pipe of the lower tee
We mount the brake pads on the brake shield and press them with rods with springs and cups
Installing the return springs
By turning the eccentric bolts, we reduce the brake pads
Install the brake drum and adjust the clearance between it and the brake pads
