We remove the main and working cylinder for replacement or for installing a cylinder repair kit
Drain the clutch hydraulic fluid as indicated in the article " A design feature of the clutch of the UAZ-3151, -31512, -31514, -31519"
We unscrew the hydraulic drive tube fitting with a key 12
Unpin the axle with pliers and remove it
We unscrew the two nuts securing the master cylinder with a 13 wrench
Remove the clutch master cylinder
Install the master cylinder in reverse order
Removing and installing the clutch slave cylinder
We drain the working fluid from the hydraulic drive, as described in the article " A design feature of the clutch of the UAZ-3151, -31512, -31514, -31519"
Remove the release spring of the clutch release fork
Weaken the tightening of the tip of the hydraulic hose with a key 17
Using a 12 head, unscrew the two bolts and disconnect the slave cylinder from the clutch housing
Rotate the cylinder around the axis and remove it from the threaded part of the hose end
A copper washer is installed between the tip and the cylinder
Install the cylinder in the reverse order, making sure that the clutch release fork has not moved from the support.
We replace the copper washer with a new one to ensure the tightness of the hydraulic drive.
Fill in fresh working fluid and pump the hydraulic drive.
Replacing the hydraulic hose
Since the clutch slave cylinder is located close to the hose mounting bracket, remove it as described above
Unscrew the tube fitting with a key 12
Using a 12 wrench, unscrew the nut securing the hose to the side member bracket, holding the hose tip with a 17 wrench
A lock washer is installed under the nut
Remove the hose
Install the hose in the reverse order or clamp the cylinder in a vise, attach the hose to it and then install it together with the cylinder
