The oil pump housing is a single casting with the front cover of the cylinder block
If the pump needs to be replaced, the cover is replaced as an assembly.

To perform the work, you will need the following tools: wrenches for 10, 12, 14, 17, 32; socket heads for 12, 16, a set of screwdrivers, a key for unscrewing the oil filter, pliers, a container for draining the oil, oil-resistant sealant.
Prepare the car for the work. We install the car on the inspection ditch.
We drain the oil from the engine (article – Changing the oil and oil filter).
We drain the coolant from the cooling system.
We remove the radiator
Remove the charge air cooler (intercooler)
Unscrew the support from the axle and remove the viscous coupling with the fan.
Disconnect the wiring block from the crankshaft position sensor connector shaft.
Remove the auxiliary drive belt (article – Replacing the auxiliary drive belt).
Unscrew and remove the oil pan (article – Replacing the crankcase seals Cummins ISF2.8).
Unscrew the bolt-fitting the tip of the oil supply hose to the turbocharger bearing.
Disconnect the hose from the front cover housing
Loosen the clamp that secures the pipe from the cooler to the intake pipe, disconnect the pipe and move it to the side
Squeeze the bent ears of the heater hose clamp, move the clamp and disconnect the hose from the front fitting covers
Squeeze the ears of the hose clamp from the expansion tank, move it and disconnect the hose from the fitting
Disconnect the wiring block from the oil pressure drop sensor connector
Unscrew the three crankshaft pulley mounting bolts shaft
Removing the washer and pulley
Unscrew the ten mounting bolts
Remove the front cover assembly by pulling it forward
When removing the front cover, you need to move it strictly along the engine axis, otherwise you can damage the front crankshaft oil seal.
Pipe 7, Figure 1, connections with The cylinder block cooling system jacket is sealed with a rubber ring and is inserted into the block hole with tension, so force must be applied to remove it.
Remove the front cover gasket.
Install the front cover in the reverse order.
Before installing a new gasket, apply a thin layer of oil-resistant sealant to both sides of the lower ends of the gasket.
Install a new sealing ring on the connection pipe with the cylinder block cooling system jacket and thoroughly clean the walls of the hole in the block
Before installing the cover, lubricate the rubber sealing ring on the cover body and the walls of the hole in the block with coolant.
Before installing the cover on the block, fill in clean engine oil through channel 9, Figure 1.
Turn the pump gears by the hexagon of the internal gear so that the oil flows into the internal cavities of the pump.
To facilitate the installation of the oil seal on the crankshaft, lubricate the working surface of the front end of the shaft with engine oil.
Install the front cover and other parts in the reverse order.
Tighten the bolts securing the front timing gear cover to the cylinder block in the order shown in the figure. Tightening torque 24 Nm.
Fill the engine lubrication system with oil.
