We replace the power steering pump if there is insufficient pressure, if there are internal leaks in the pump, or if the pump is completely seized.
Remove the accessory drive belt (article - Cummins ISF2.8 Accessory Drive Belt Replacement)
Unscrew the three bolts securing the power steering pump pulley to the hub
Remove the pulley
We unscrew the nut securing the pipeline of the power steering system
Disconnect the pipeline from the power steering pump. We drain the liquid from the pipeline into the container
We loosen the clamp of the supply pipe of the power steering system
Disconnect the pipeline from the power steering pump.
Drain the line into a suitable container
We unscrew the rear bolt securing the pump to the bracket
We unscrew the three front bolts securing the power steering pump to the bracket
Slightly push the spacer sleeve in the bracket hole for the rear pump mounting bolt with a screwdriver
Removing the pump
Install the power steering pump in the reverse order.
Pay attention to the labeling sticker.
When replacing the pump, we purchase the same pump.
