We replace the power steering pump if the pressure is insufficient, if there are internal leaks in the pump, if the pump is completely jammed
Removing the accessory drive belt (article – Replacing the accessory drive belt)
Unscrew the three bolts securing the power steering pump pulley to the hub
Removing the pulley
Unscrew the nut securing the power steering system pipeline
Disconnect the pipeline from the power steering pump. Drain the fluid from the pipeline into a container
Loosen the clamp securing the power steering system supply pipeline
Disconnect the pipeline from the power steering pump.
Drain the fluid from the pipeline into a suitable capacity
Unscrew the rear bolt securing the pump to the bracket
Unscrew the three front bolts securing the power steering pump to the bracket
Slightly push the spacer sleeve in the bracket hole for the rear pump mounting bolt with a screwdriver
Removing the pump
Install the power steering pump in the reverse order.
Pay attention to the sticker with markings.
When replacing the pump, purchase the same pump.
Fill the fluid into the hydraulic system and bleed it (article – Replacing and bleeding fluid in the power steering).
