Removing and installing fuel tank switching valve
We install the car on a lift or a viewing ditch
In the cabin, using a 10 wrench, unscrew the nut securing the crane handle and remove the handle
Remove the plastic cap and spring
Using a 14 key, we unscrew the fitting of the lower hose tip from the tap and disconnect it
Using a 14 key, unscrew the fittings of the inlet hoses and disconnect them
Using a 10 wrench, unscrew the nuts of the three crane mounting bolts
At the same time, the assistant keeps the bolts from turning the head by 10 from the passenger compartment
Remove the crane
Install the faucet in reverse order
If the faucet leaks through the faucet gland, then tighten the gland nut with a 14 wrench
Removing the fuel gauge and fuel intake sensor
We prepare the car and disconnect the negative battery terminal
With a 10 key, unscrew the three bolts and nut and remove the hatch cover and rubber gasket
Removing the sensor
We move the rubber protective cap from the sensor output and with a 7 key we unscrew the nut securing the wire tip
Remove the wire tip from the sensor output
Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the five screws securing the sensor to the tank
Under one of the screws, there is a ground wire tip
Carefully remove the fuel gauge sensor
A rubber gasket is installed between the sensor and the tank
Install the sensor in reverse order
Removing the fuel pickup
Loosen the hose clamp and remove the hose from the fuel intake fitting
Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the five screws, and remove the fuel pickup from the tank
A rubber gasket is installed between the fuel intake and the tank
To remove the filter, press the strainer plate along the tube and remove the locking pin with pliers
And remove the mesh filter elements
We wash the mesh filter in solvent and blow it with compressed air
We assemble and install the fuel intake in reverse order
Removing and installing the fuel tank
Before removing the tank, it is advisable to pump out the fuel from the tank
We install the car on a viewing ditch or lift and disconnect the negative terminal from the battery
Remove the fuel intake hatch cover as described above
Disconnect the ground wire block
Remove the wire tip from the sensor output and remove the hose from the fuel intake fitting
Installing a stop under the tank
With a 14 head, unscrew the two bolts of the fuel tank clamps
Remove the stop and remove the tank from the car
If necessary, remove the clamp rod from the earring hole
Remove the cotter pin from the axle of the earring, take out the axle and the earring
Turning the clamp diagonally across the square hole in the body reinforcement, remove the clamp band
Install the tank in the reverse order, placing cardboard spacers under the clamps.
