In the article, we will consider the replacement of the immobilizer coil and the contact group of the ignition switch
The immobilizer coil is put on a piece of pipe (welded to the steering column pipe) in which the ignition switch is installed.
We remove the coil for replacement and when dismantling the ignition switch.
We remove the ignition switch for replacement if it fails or to replace the contact group.
Preparing the car for work.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Remove the steering column covers (article - Design and replacement of Renault Duster steering column switches)
Remove the instrument cluster
By pressing the lock of the wire block, we disconnect the block from the immobilizer coil (the steering column switches are removed for clarity)
Pull out the two latches and remove the immobilizer coil

Through the hole for the instrument cluster, we press the lock of the holder of the ignition switch wire blocks
Sliding the pads down, remove them from the holder
Pry off the wire block retainer with a flat screwdriver
Move the latch up
Disconnect the ignition switch wiring block from the wiring harness block
Use the TorxT-20 key to unscrew the screw securing the ignition switch.
Having inserted the key into the ignition switch, turn it to an intermediate position between the marks "A" and "M"
Press the switch latch
For clarity, we show on the ignition switch removed from the socket
Remove the ignition switch by pulling its wire harness out of the steering column socket
Use the TorxT-8 key to unscrew the screw
Remove the cover and contact group
Install the contact group and the immobilizer coil in reverse order.
