In the article, we will consider disassembling and removing the rear side door of the car.
Removing and installing rear door trim
Remove the inner door handle, for this:
- unscrew the screw securing the inner handle of the door lock drive;
- remove the handle from the socket in the upholstery and, having disconnected the drive rod from its lever, remove the handle
Remove the window handle, pulling it towards you, release it from the latches
Unscrew the screw securing the upholstery on the armrest
Disconnect the door upholstery from the door panel, remove the lock button from the hole and remove the upholstery.
The door lining is attached with nine clips
If the caps are damaged, then we replace them by removing them from the upholstery brackets
If necessary, remove the foam sealing ring.
Replacing the rear door glass
Remove the door upholstery as described above
Lower the glass completely and remove its inner seal
Raise the glass so that the bolts securing the glass clip to the power window slider are installed opposite the technological holes in the door panel.
Supporting the glass, unscrew the two screws securing the clip to the slider
We unscrew the bolt that secures the guide to the door through the technological hole in the door panel
Drag the guide down a bit
And remove the guide
Remove the glass from the door, taking it up and turning it in the doorway
If necessary, remove the fixed glass by tilting it forward.
Install the glass and all the details in the reverse order.
Removing the power window
Remove the door upholstery as described above
Remove the glass of the back door (you can not remove the glass, it can be fixed in the upper position using masking tape or other devices)
We unscrew the four nuts securing the power window to the door panel
We remove the power window from the door cavity through the mounting hole in the inner panel of the door
Install the power window in reverse order.
Removing the outer rear door handle
Raise the glass and remove the upholstery of the rear door
Unscrew the two nuts securing the outer handle
Having lifted the key of the handle, we unscrew the screw
We remove the handle from the socket in the door, disconnecting the lock drive rod from its lever
Install the outer rear door handle and all removed parts in reverse order.
Replacing the rear door lock
Remove the rear door trim and rear door glass as described above
Disconnect the outer handle rod from the lock lever by unfastening the rod lock and turning it to the side (shown on the removed handle and lock)
Pry off with a screwdriver and remove from the hole in the panel the axis of the rocker arm of the lock drive
Turn the rocker 90˚ counterclockwise
And having disconnected the lock drive rod from the rocker, remove the rocker together with the lock button rod
We take out from the holders on the inner panel of the door the drive rods and the lock of the lock
Squeeze the clamps of the rod holder, sink them inward and remove the holder
We unscrew the three screws securing the lock to the door panel
We bring the lock into the technological hole in the door panel
Unfasten the block of wires from the lock and remove the lock from the car
When replacing the lock, we disconnect the rods of the inner handle of the drive and lock from it by unfastening and turning their latches to the sides and install them on the new lock.
To remove the door lock latch, unscrew it from the body pillar (it is better to use an impact screwdriver)
If necessary, adjust the locking accuracy.
Replacing the rear door opening limiter
Remove the upholstery of the rear door
We unscrew the screw securing the limiter to the central pillar of the body
We unscrew the two nuts securing the limiter to the door
Remove the limiter through the hole for the speaker
Removing and installing the door
Remove the door upholstery
Disconnect the door opening limiter from the central pillar
Disconnect the wire block from the lock motor
Remove the protective cover of the wiring harness from the hole in the end of the door and remove the harness from the door cavity
Mark the position of the hinges on the door by tracing the hinges around the contour with a felt-tip pen
Holding the door with the help of an assistant, unscrew the nuts securing the upper and lower hinges to the door and remove the door.
Install the door in reverse order.
