The engine of a car is the engine that drives a car.

In this article we consider the operations of dismantling and repairing the engine cylinder head.

We install the cylinder block on the stand for dismantling and assembling the units.

The 2.0 and 2.4 litre petrol engines are in-line four-cylinder power units with two overhead camshafts (DOHC). The cylinder head is equipped with a continuously variable valve timing (CVVT) system on the inlet side.

Note. The valve train clearances are checked and adjusted with the engine cold (at a coolant temperature of 20 °C) with the cylinder head installed.

Caution:

To avoid damaging the painted surfaces of the body, cover the front wings of the vehicle with protective covers.
Be careful when disconnecting hoses, do not spill oil or other fluid.
Plug the disconnected pipes or hoses to prevent foreign particles from entering.
