We remove the subframe to dismantle the gearbox and other components of the power unit and front suspension.
To complete the task, you will need tools: screwdrivers, wrenches for 10, 13, 16, 18, socket head for 18, Torx T30.
Remove the mudguards and crankcase protection (see the article - How to remove the protection and mudguards of the Renault Sandero engine)
Remove the exhaust pipe (article - Replacing elements of the Renault Sandero exhaust system)
Bottom, take out the catalytic converter bracket from the pillow
If the pillow is stuck to the bracket, pry it with a screwdriver
We unscrew the three bolts securing the front bumper to the subframe
We unscrew the two bolts of the bracket for the rear support of the suspension of the power plant
Remove the bracket
We unscrew the two bolts securing the steering mechanism to the subframe
We unscrew the bolt of the upper fastening of the connecting rod
We unscrew the nut of the lower fastening of the rod
Remove traction
We unscrew the bolt of the tube holder of the power steering system
Take the phone a little to the side
We unscrew the nut of the coupling bolt of the terminal connection of the steering knuckle with the ball joint
Remove the coupling bolt
Open the terminal with a screwdriver
Remove the ball joint pin from the steering knuckle
We also remove the ball joint pin from the steering knuckle on the other side of the car
Installing supports under the subframe
Unscrew the front bolts of the subframe
Unscrew the rear bolts of the subframe
Remove the subframe assembly with anti-roll bar (if the car is equipped with it) and front suspension arms
We install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
Tightening torques for fasteners:
- - We tighten the front and rear bolts of the subframe with a torque of 105 Nm (10.5 kgcm);
- - connecting rod mounting bolt torque 21 Nm (2.1 kgcm);
- - the nut for fastening the connecting rod and the nut for the coupling bolt of the terminal connection of the steering knuckle with the ball joint - a torque of 62 Nm (6.2 kgcm);
- - rear support bracket mounting bolts - torque 65 Nm (6.5 kgcm).
